| I'm new to this forum (this is my first post) and I don't have my signature block set up yet but I'd like to put in a good word for Nittos.
I have an '06 Sierra 2500 HD LBZ SLT ECSB. One of the first mods I did was to pitch the cartoonishly small stock wheels and tires and replace them with 285/60-18 Nitto Terra Grapplers (D-rated) mounted on 18" x 9" (5.25" offset) Centerline Wheels (Part # 626 8907 865). The truck is not lifted and the improvement in handling was eye-watering. The truck corners flat and feels like it's glued to the road. I couldn't be happier with this wheel/tire combination.
With over 18,000 miles now on the tires I still have at least 10,000 miles of wear left. After I bought them, Nitto introduced an E-rated version and that's what I'll be replacing them with when the time comes. |

| Hey thanks ar077!! Good Post!
I was thinong about it more and more and the Nittosseem like a softer tire. Softer wheres faster but grips the road alot better than a hard tire with better wear. I think id rather have a truck that stays on the pavement than a truck that slides off the road Also... Welcome to the forum!

| Good tires, but they have a stiff sidewall. My bro-n-law had 'em on his F350, they a good long wearing tire. He now has Toyo MT's and they are alot smoother. But, they are pricey....1300 bucks for 35x12.50x18...My rig's got some trailcutter tires???not sure about 'em. They were on it when I bought it, they ride like solid filled forklift tires!!1

| I bought the D rated 285 terra Grapplers beacuse of all the great reviews. They were also really cheap compaired to the coopers and bfg's. What a mistake!! These tires are junk, wearing down really fast from the weight of the truck, turned grey within a week, load up with mud immediatly, even worse on ice and snow. These tires might work fine on a reg cab, gas truck, but on a big heavy diesel.....forget it..... |

| Ok Well I ended up going with the Nitto's. I went to the warehouse and checked on a few. For the price I think there the best deal. I paid close to $500.00 for all 4 load range D with me mounting them.
So far Im really happy with them! They ride nice, grip well, and handle awesome.
The only thing is I do miss the bigger 285 tires :/
Heres some pics!

| I hope they work better for you than they do for me, I have 285's load range E's and won't buy them again. Good luck man, let us know how they wear/work for you, I'm not impressed at all.
