Muffler Shop

I want to put a new exhaust system on my 06 LLY. Can anyone refer me to a good Muffler Shop in the Waxahachie area. I would even drive to the Dallas or FT. Worth area. Thansk

Not sure what you want but your probably better off buying a exhaust from a duramaxforum.com vendor or even ebay. Then take it to any shop to put it on. There pretty simple to do but hard if yuo dont have a rack. 99% of the muffler shops wont know what to sell you and what is best for your truck or what the difference is.

You can purcahse an exhaust and more than likely put it on yourself with a couple of hand tools and a saw. Diamond eye sells a nice kit as well as MBRP I am sure the vendors on the site can hook you up. I installed mine by myself and it took about two hours. All I used was a saw, 9/16 socket wrench and a floor jack

Went to get my CCLB inspected Friday here in Temple and there were two diesel pick-ups being hooked by wreckers. They had straight exhaust systems and tried to get them inspected. Both failed, got to have some type of mufflers now here in Texas. Seems the law wouldn't let them drive the trucks off of the lot with expired inspection stickers. Guess everybody will have to do like I did, take a cutting torch and gut the mufflers out and use the empty cans for looks!

Thats odd, here in VA if they fail you, your allowed 15 days to correct it. And you get a big pink ugly sticker to show off...

Did they have out of state plates. I went to a Inspection Station on Friday and asked about exhaust system. He told me they don't inspect exhaust systems only saftey things. Then he said if it's an out of state vehicle, then the emissions would be checked the first time only.

They were both Dodges, from here in Texas. The guy at the inspection place was one of those that does everything by the book, I have never had a vehicle go thru an inspection this closely. I think he is maybe on some little power trip. Also he might have called the law and let them know about the expired stickers on the trucks to keep them in the lot.
There is a new law having to do with the mufflers, looked it up on the state site, just went into effect and has some to do with emmisions also and disabling smog devices.
