Dude!!!!!!!!!!!!Help

So I come to a stop light today and something goes ding ding ding........I don't see crap.So I go to the next stop light and there it goes again, but this time it says low oil pressure. My oil pressure light starts to flucuate. It drops down to 5 to 10 pounds and then jumps up to 30.When I start to go it jumps up to 60lbs.What the hell.Did I lose the pump?

Hmm thats weird. Id have to say its the sensor. Did you get it towed? Might be worth taking to a shop and getting it checked out.

It just happened and I'm still at work.Haven't had a chance to mess with it yet.Where are the sensors located?I called the dealer which I'm in tight with and he said they have never replaced a duramax motor yet at thier location. He said they are one of the best motors out there for diesels.

Ya have it towed to the dealer and have them check the actual oil pressure with a test guage.

It's probably fine. a quirky oil pressure reading usually means you have a sender issue. You can probably rid it by doing a flush and filter change.

If you are still under warranty have the dealer check it. I agree, it sounds like a sending unit but if it is something more it would be better if the dealer found it. If it goes to the dealer under warranty they will tow it if it needs to be.
Just my $.02. Good luck.
