power mirror fuse

Can anyone tell me which fuse controls the power mirrors on an 06 GMC 3500? I want to replace the power mirrors with manuel tow mirrors but can't find which fuse controls them.

Welcome to the forum!!!

Its probably on the power window fuse. Id just unplug the plug and wrap it with electrical tape. Should be good to go!

Yeah, I thought about just unpluging it (which would require taking off door panel) and I also thought about just cutting the wiring harness right behind the mirrors and taping that. Do you think this would cause electircal problems?

Probably not but Id just unplug it. Taking the door panel off is real easy. I havent done it for a while but it really only takes about 2 minutes. IIRC there are only 2 screws. Remove the triangle peace over the mirror, then the manual lock inside with a small screw driver and theres one screw there, also remove the surround around the interior handle itself. I think the there one is on the bottom of the door. Then just lift striaght up on the panel and it should come off. If not look around there might be another screw I just cant remember. Another hint. Do it on the passenger side first so if you screw something up you wont have to look at it all the time

you do not have to remove the whole door panel to get the mirror off, just the triangle piece!!!

Cool

Thanks again. I did not have to take the panel off, just lossen it enongh to get my hand behind it. The wiring for the power mirrors ran down one of the support members inside the panel too the power switch on the arm rest. I had to unplug the wires and dissconnect three wire holders. And there were three screws and one trim plug holding the panels on. Thanks again for the help.
