Hi everyone I need so help new to the forum along the way I am thinking of jumping ship I own a dodge megacab 2006... Lets just call it a bad year for me and trucks it started last July when I purchased a brand new 2008 Ford F350 6.4 twin turbo. The truck lasted all of 5 weeks it began leaking oil in my driveway, I then took it to the dealership to be fixed and they worked on it. Then about 2 weeks after that it started to leak oil in my driveway again I was so mad because a brand new truck should not be leaking in my driveway so I took it to the Dodge dealership and traded it in on an 2007 Dodge Mega Cab with the 6.7 cummins in it and that truck lasted 8 months blew the turbo up on it (factory problem) also scratched the paint on it with only 2000 miles on it. So when I took it in for the repairs on the turbo I asked if they had any used 5.9 cummins on the lot and they said that they had a 2006 white Dodge Mega Cab with 25000 miles on it. Traded the 2007 Dodge straight over for the 2006. No complaints I am happy with the truck, however, all this money that I have spent I still do not own a brand new truck. I am now looking at a 2008 Silverado 2500HD with the LTZ package, it is not a dually.
Now I have a couple of questions to ask,
I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada the dealership has brought this truck up from the US I don't know all the specifications of the chevy trucks I do know that this truck is fully loaded. There is not an option they have left out on this vehicle. In Canada the truck retails for approximately 72000.00 Canadian. What I am looking for is prices on the same type of truck. It is a short box also. This is a fully loaded diesel with the allison transmission. What I need is prices on the same truck for Washington State, Oregon, and Idaho just so that I can see what the truck is roughly worth in the US market since it is a US truck. If possible if anyone has the sticker that comes on the truck with all the options and price listed if you could possibly scan it and email it to me. So I know if I am being taken to the cleaners or not by the dealership.
I don't know......but....A friend's son is a mechanic at a Chevy dealership and told me that about 30% of all Duramaxes they work on leak a little oil between the engine & tranny through 2007 - haven't talked to him recently, so I don't know about the 2008's

My sticker was $47,900 and that was in 2006. I have a good bud looking at new trucks(Dodges & GM) and I think he told me sticker was around $50,000 give or take.
