Oil out blow by tube

2002 Chevy Silverado/2500HD 6.6 diesel. 90,000 miles. I Have read other post of same problem no fix. Oil is coming out of the blow by tube. No loss of power, or any codes. Pressure dropped to under 20. Now its low on oil. Started happening about 100 miles, or 2 weeks after last oil change. I have several diesels and all run Rotella Syn. No there is no PCV valve on this motor. Dealerships around here have no clue and want 75 dollars an hour to find the problem. Please help. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum!

Hmm that is strange. I thought all trucks have a PVC valve? Thats the only thing It could be. Just to try something try taking the oil cap off and see if it still happens.

Sorry long time since post. 6.6 truck dumped several quarts very thin oil out onto the ground, saturated with diesel. Mileage went down, oil pressure dropped and truck running rough. Several chevy mechanics advised known injector issue take in to dealer. Truck is now sitting in Service center waiting. Will update on findings. Thanks for the help.

It's low on oil because the crank is full of fuel from leaking injectors.

90,887 miles. I have seen reading thru the postings, they have extended that warranty to 200,000 miles on the injectors.

Yeah, you'll be happy once the new injectors get put in. It'll run like a top, and no leaky oil anymore. It was probably oil overflow, from having fuel in the oil due to bad injectors.

Chevy called, injectors bad, replacing under warranty, have to pay for fuel filter and oil change. I work on diesel's all day long, and this one had me baffled. At first truck was not lossing mileage or horse power, oil felt and smelled fine, and just heavy dripping out of blow bye tube. 100 miles later, oil over filled, and oil/diesel on the ground time for the shop. I have Ford 7.3, Chevy 6.6, and smaller 4 and 3 cyl Diesels at the house.. Plus work 3rd shop for Uncle Sam. (63B) Thanks for every ones post an help.
