I have been working 12's- so haven't been on this at all lately. I think the theory involving HHO production is sound, there is a lot of interest here with the custom truck shops. I'm not sure what the real gains are, there is a good piece on it in wikipedia explaining the theory. My concern is embrittlement. Im working to many hours to mess with it though- will take it up again in the winter!!

Here is a link to the one I am going to try and build. This guy uses pipe instead of plates. There is a ton more surface area here. The more surface area the more hydrogen you produce. The only thing I will do different from this guy is use PVC for my outside pipe and not stainless. Using a metal pipe on the outside just leaves too many chances for short circuit.

I saw that video also. I looked into it a bit and found out a couple things. oh and a good website to check out is tnhybrids.com the have a nice looking system its almost all concealed you really only see a little container for water under the hood.

I called the tnhybrids.com and asked a few questions and the guy i spoke to said that they were getting the best results from the dmax. He said you should average around 30 mpg and he said that is a city highway combination of driving. I I tried to call the distributor in my state and cant ever get an answer

1st- i read that the o2 sensor will read that the exhaust is much cleaner and it will want to dump more fuel when it really does not need to so make sure you get the module to manipulate the o2 sensor

2nd- because the hydrogen molecule is so small it will cause embrittlement over time. I didne know what it meant so i looked it and up and what i read is that the molecules of hydrogen will get into any imperfections in the metal of the block and into the seals and cause them to become brittle over time but there is a oil additive which fills in the voids with a ceramic coating and will prevent this.

I heard about the O2 sensor issue. There are companies that sell O2 Simulators to solve the fuel dumping problem.

The only thing that still worries me is the embrittlement issue. This is one of the reasons I have not built one to install in my DMax.

Way Cool! I want to see some long term testing before I risk a 50k rig.

O2 sensor????????????????????
Do new diesels have O2 sensor now?

Might be best to stick with swiss cheese airbox.

As a prior poster referenced....nobody knows anyone that has done this with any improvement. If it was so fantastic, somebody would actually be saving money, and this would go into orbit.
