a finger stick is a eltronic device that blocks the code thrown we you remove the cat on some of the LLY's and LBZ engines not all need them, blocked is when you use a block plate to block the egr valve which stops the exhaust recirculation

With EFI you can turn it off..

Does the EGR block plate cause any codes to be thrown? Are there any performance increases to this, or just a healthier motor? How much do the block plates cost?

The plate makes for a WAY claener intake system on the truck, ive seen as mush as 1/2-3/4 of an inch of soot build up inside the intake on trucks with less than 50,000miles on them! The plate will throw egr codes just the same as the exhaust will on the llys and lbz's. Also it has been seen in some trucks when running boost over stock levels the EGR will push open causing some performance issues, so a plate is needed for this as well!!!

Does it throw a code on the Lb7s? Is it as easy of a mod as it sounds?
