Duraburb?

Anyone know of any around? Been toying with the idea of selling the lb7 and looking into one. Or even buying a good burb and doing the swap.

I didn't see any on eBay right now, but if you pick up a Burb, Yukon, Tahoe or Escalade, DuraBurb Inc will do the swap for you for like $12-15K

number to call is (407) 889-5966

I love my truck, but family wise I would really love a factory Duramax Suburban. I could always hook up a trailer to haul whatever.

because the allison wont fit in the trans tunnel. check out the 1500 sub vs 2500 and 1500 p/u vs 2500 and you can see how the sub isnt raised like the p/u. therefor, theyd have to mate the duramax with the standard trans and the torque would just shred it. or theyd have to de tune the dmax to the point where its pointless to have. but maybe someday the diesel gods will smile upon gm once again and a duramax sub will be born. :rockin:rockin

Called today and spoke with Brenda, swap cost about $25,000, not $12-15,000. Seems a bit pricey, but I guess it all depends on what a person wants.
