shifter

just installed a flip screen in-dash dvd. When im in park the screen gets jammed on the shifter, any ideas would be great. thanks in advance. see pic

Dang that sucks. Trade it in for a flush mounted screen. Or im sure someone makes a smaller shifter.

wow thats definently a bummer. Did you install it yourself? If you had a shop do it TAKE THAT S##T BACK, and BITCH!!!! Make them fix it.

If you did it yourself... well... uh... maybe you could shim the back of it to the left a little bit so the screen aims a little more to the right? My buddy just wired in two on/off switches to emmulate the park brake and brake pedal or whatever it is your supposed to wire em to. That way he can have em on whenever he wants (very illegal). You could do that if you did it yourself, then you can turn it on with it in gear and aviod the problem all together.

Put the truck in nuetral and use the e-brake problem solved.
