Umm i would change the fuel filter more like every 7000 miles i think the book says 10,000 but you should be able to reset it thru tha steering wheel i cant remember which button though

Gas filter reset

You reset it just like you do the oil. Turn engine off. Turn key on and put in nuetral. then holding the reset you tap gas peddle 2 times and hold down second time till it has reset.
not sure you need to hold reset button but the gas peddle while in Nuetral is the key. I just did it last week so I believe it will work. Make sure it is sowing the gas filter on panel when you are doing it.

i believe it took a little longer with the fuel filter reset than the oil. Try holding the gas peddle down alot longer on the second push and see if that works. It did seem to take longer for the reset on fuel filter than the oil.

If you have steering wheel controls, toggle to the fuel filter life, and then hold the arrow button down till it resets.

You can also toggle to "Fuel Filter Life" and hold the trip reset in. This should do it.

If its an 05 you do hit lower left button you will get avg mpg, range, oil life and fuel filter life . Make sure FF is up and press and hold lower right button until it goes to 100%.

Just pulled out my manual and this is what it says:
Without touching the pedals turn the key to the on position without starting engine
Wait 5 seconds
Completely press both brake and accelerator pedals and hold for 10 seconds
System should be reset
Turn key to off
At next startup, message should be gone.
