Many don't notice a difference, but since you opened up the air box, you WILL notice a difference. I prefer to use the cap instead of the plug, then slide the Resonator back over it and secure the clamp back. Stealth mode.
When you get your new LBZ mp, just leave the included red cap on (Note plug in LLY mp).

Honestly I thought this was a bunch of crock before. I did the plug and the MP at the same time and didn't notice much of a difference. Left it on because I thought it couldn't hurt anything.
Well, I just put on the MBRP TB 4" straight pipes, and it makes you take a step back. I unplugged just to see what the real difference is, and you can really tell a huge difference when plugged and unplugged, especially with a new exhaust.
I felt like I just figured something out on Mythbusters when I heard that whistle. I got a real affirmation when a kid comes up to me in my neighborhood and tells me my truck sounds like a dump truck now, haha.
