You can read these threads and see a lot of talk about how to drill a hole. This is all very useful information, keeping the chips out of the turbo, but the question I have posed in the past, is, ... where is the best location to put it? The tech at BullyDog just says "pre-turbo is best, but it can be post-turbo". I had already planned on pre-turbo, but all of the manifold locations I can see all seem to be so close to at least one cylinder that I am not sure how accurate they could be, being blasted all the time. Longevity is another question. On my 02' there is a nice sweep coming off the drivers side manifold, running up to the "Y" just before the turbo. There is a heat shield and I would have to trim back, but not sure how thick the pipe is. I wanted to avoid welding in an adapter.

If any of you have pictures that would clear up a lot of my questions.

Thanks for the links to the pictures. I will have to add that site to my favorites. Lots of good information out there. They make it look easy. Hope it turns out that way.

It actually is very easy. No need for grease or a running engine. Just take your time and tap a little and then try the fitting. If it's not tapped enough, tap some more and try it again.
