WVO Set-up

Here is a look at what the WVO looks like when I first get it and in the jug on the right, what filtered WVO looks likepump 018.JPG

This is what the mixing system looks likepump 016.JPG

This is the transfer systempump 011.JPG

This is the Delivery systempump 012.JPG

Basically I use the transfer system to pump the WVO out of the jugs and into holding tanks (not shown). When it is time to make a patch, I used the transfer system to pump the WVO from the holding tank to the mixing system. Then I use the transfer system to pump the HHO from its holding tank and into the mixing system which is now pumping and mixing the fuels. Then I add the RUG to the mix and the fuel additive. Then the mix is pumped from the mixing station through a filter and into the delivery system. Then when needed, the delivery system pumps the WVO (already filtered once) through two more filters and into the vehicle. Hope this sheds some light on the set-up!

I have somewhere around $400.00 invested in the system, plus my time. I go through three filters ($12.00) every 250 to 300 gal.. I figure that into the cost of making the fuel mix, along with the cost of the HHO and RUG and fuel Additive, ($1.06 to $1.20 gal.). You don't count your time. I know it's not totally free, but a he$$ of alot better then $4.50 gal..

Yes I use WVO from restaurants, but you have to watch. Some of the WVO is not fit to use and you need to learn which ones are the best. WVO that doesn't set up very much in cold weather is the best and usually the clearest. I have narrowed it down to just one place for myself. I use more than I get per week in the summer, but I get more than I use during the winter months, thus, the storage tanks. Not only that, but then it doesn't sit around alot!

Yes, I ran it in the 6.5 turbo. Actually I had three of them and they all ran the fuel with no problems. I had to replace the glow plugs on one of them because of hard starting. Turns out 4 of the plugs were dead! I will say the 6.5 started alittle harder in cold weather than the Dmax, but not a problem.
