| P0201-208 injector driver and limp mode fix! So I stopped by the dealer I used to work at and did some research on the limp mode that has been leavin me on the side of the road. I asked for/got a copy of the bulletin for this SES code. #06-06-04-026A. Go to the stealership and ask for it. The first page of the bulletin states: "Dealer technicians are to repair wire chafes at the Fuel Injection Control Module(FICM) as needed. Insulate the harness from the aluminium retaining bracket with SUITABLE MATERIAL(electrical conduit or heater hose) so the harness will not chafe again." Here I have pictured the bracket, the FICM, and the location of the wiring short to the left of the alternator. Note where it rubs through the wire insulation. I cut away the factory electrical tape and easily found the wire(s) and taped them up. The colors vary, just tape the chafed ones. Then I took some conduit tubing like the factorys and used a canvas electrical tape to insulate the snot out of the wires. REMEMBER: The more the better. Follow this up with a solid zip-tiing to the aluminium bracket.
The stealership wants a $100 for a deductible and if your out of warranty EACH harness is over $300. Do this repair and spend $10 max. Sorry the picture of the bracket is fuzzy. My camera sux! I hope this helps guys!
