If this flange is already toast, like in my case, will that need a full transfer case replacement?

is there a hole in the case? does it leak oil? how badly worn is the case itself on the inside? if not and you didn't have any issues before.....put it back together. mine had some indentation on the case from wear but it wasn't leaking. i installed the kit and put back together. no issues

How did you guys get rid of stainless clips? Is it screws or rivets ? Have kit ,just have'nt done it.....Thanks

the little clip on the inside? that just pulls right off with some pliers

I might add after hours of trying fig out why two halfs wouldnt seperate once snap ring was removed found out had remove the speed sensor for all of u attempting this other than that pretty easy

Used this thread a couple of weeks ago to do mine... Great write-up! Whatever the u-shaped clip was had already been eaten through and pieces of it were stuck to the magnet so apparently I did it just in time before anything else got torn up.

I haven't crawled under the truck to look at things lately, but is the removal and installation of the transfer case affected by the torsion bars going into the cross member? Or am I way off here?
