this might be a dumb question to you guys that have been in the diesel world alot longer than i have (just got an 06 lbz 3 months ago) but have any of you experienced any trouble with your truck throwin codes after puttin an aftermarket exhaust on??? i would have had an exhaust 3 months ago but im really paronoid of spendin the money for the exhaust and then messin my truck up.
The muffler is on in that video, so you cant hear it very well. But an lbz like yours will whistle pretty good off idle and scream at full throttle. Check out some youtube videos.
The only codes you may get would be for the EGR. but they usually don't come up every time, and it will have no affect on performance at all. Some tuners can block the codes as well!! If you don't want a tuner the make a little module you wire in under your dash and it blocks the code. It's called a fingerstick.
trust me, you can hear the turbo.. hahah It might not be so clear in that video but the truck sounds like a jet at idle. At WOT it just GROWLS it will frighten people..
