Mine is doing the same. Im thinking about changing the battery and then resetting it if its needed. If that doesnt work I'll get a new remote. Here are the steps for programming a remote for a chevy silverado:
Close all the vehicle doors.
Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder.
Press and hold the DOOR unlock switch.
While holding the DOOR lock switch in the unlock position, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF.
Release the DOOR unlock switch. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm the program mode.
Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one keyless remote. After a delay of approximately 15 seconds, the doors will lock and unlock to confirm the programming of that transmitter.
Repeat the previous step to program up to four transmitters.
Turn the ignition switch to the RUN (one more click forward) position in order to exit the keyless entry transmitter mode.
Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation.
I've had to do that before as well. I went to the GM dealership and they told me that it would be like 140.00 to get two new remotes and have them programmed.....So I went on Ebay, bought a set, came with the instructions you are reading above, and it took me like 3 minutes to program my new remotes. And it only cost me like 35.00 from Ebay. Stupid GM ripoff's..... So if it doesn't work for you.....guy a set off of Ebay....I did and they worked great.

I havent put a new battery in it yet. Its currently sitting about to have the suncoast stage IV kit put in next week
I had a Sierra before that didnt have remotes when I bought it so I also got the remotes off of ebay for like $30 and programmed them myself with their directions, awesome deal compared to GM.
