Do you have redundent controls? (steering wheel controls) if you do it is done in the DIC if you don't you got me man. Oh wait you just said you have the BOSE so you do have the Wheel Controls, I think you press the little (i) icon on the lower left and scan through and you will find it.

I just installed a stereo in mine and ordered an adapter from crutchfield that lets you keep all the chimes but you can turn them way down so they aren't so annoying. I like the low fuel alert but the door one drives you nuts. The adapter is a GMOS - 04. It works with several brands like my Pioneer. They make others that might work with your stereo.

the "door chime" you hear is far more than your typical piezoelectric buzzer for a N/C door contact circuit. The "chime" system is part of the Class II Data Bus system that sends data all over your vehicle. from SES to ABS to SRS to On-Star the system is all integrated into the "radio/head unit" for audible tones over your truck speakers. This system is not disable-able.
THe only way i know is to cut the signal wire that goes to the door latch on the drivers door, your light will no longer come on when u open the door but heck, the switch is right there on the dash!

1.Aftermarket Radio
2.Roll down the windows and crank it up
3.Cut the trigger wire and lose your alarm
4.Do what I did and install speakers in the bed of the truck
5.Easiest would be carrying a screwdriver with you and pushing the latch in the door back making the truck think the door is closed.......just make sure you pull on the handle releasing the latch before you close the door
