I have mine mounted on the left side of my headache rack. I can get about 14 miles out of my CB, but thats only because I have cell phone booster antenna, and also an EMS Emergency radio. With the EMS radio, I can hit any repeater, and I have talked to ambulances, fire trucks, and PD that were 30 miles out. My reception for my CB is boosted by the cell phone booster and the EMS radio antenna. But I also have another antenna for my HAM radio. 5 antennas in all. My truck looks like a mobile command center. I just added these within the last 2 months. Make sure you dont get them too close because you will catch interfrence betweent them.

NMO Mounted the ham antenna dead smack in the center for the cab (maybe back a hair to miss the cross brace)

K4o running into rear brake light into the headboard all the way to the dash on passenger side then to the middle of the dash to my Cobra LTD custom. With the K40 i can usually hear pretty clear if youre in sight distance. but in southwest va thats not a lot haha
