CB antenna mounting locations - Post your pics

I've seen a couple threads regarding where to put the radio, and a few mounting pics inside them. I'd like to see some more pics of antenna setups. Please also tell us what you use your radio for and how well you get out/recieve. I'm especially interested in Headache rack mounts, and what you do to keep the antenna from beaking off. Are you running a big spring, etc...

Let's see em

Hmm I like this idea I'll play.. This is the best picture I have right now. It's a 4 ft firestik mounted to my bedcover. I use it on the highway and offroad. No idea what my range is prolly a couple miles and it has enough play in it being mounted to my bedcover with no spring.

I use my CB for traffic updates.
Iv had this CB radio for years. Im due for a new radio any time now.
I get on a good day 3-5 mile range with my set up.
I have a quick disconnect on the antenna so I can take it off & park in low clearance areas.

HD Dmax Macine: I'm liking the fender mount idea. 3-5 miles with a stock radio is pretty good from what I hear. Are you running the standard 49" whip or the 31" center load on that Wilson?

just your standard K40 on the roof, bought one of those cobra all in one CB's. Where the mic is the display and the speaker, works pretty good and doesnt take up much room at all!

How did you route the antenna cable to that K40? Is that a mag mount or a roof mount?

Any Headache rack mounts out there?

Its a mag mount..cables ran inaide and then out the back tail light. On the bottom tho you notch a little grove for the wire so it still seals...been two years and no problems..mag mount scratchs your roof tho thats the only down fall.

Is it the Cobra 75WX? I thought about getting one of those as I have a Cobra 25 now that I have peaked and tuned, and matched with a Galaxy 225 linear amp. Worked great with my last trucks, but difficult for a good mounting location in the NBS with full consoles. I thought about getting the Cobra 75WX and put on a Pro-Fit mount and would look clean. How loud is the speaker on it?
