2006 Silverado... No Interior
I am considering purchasing an 06 LBZ crew cab dually for a very low price. Its only got 50,000 km on it but it has no interior. It was stolen from a guy that is now selling and going through problems with icbc ( our insurance ). It has the carpet, headliner, bose speakers. The gauge cluster and dash are gone. So im wondering what website i could go on to find the pieces i need to make the truck new again. i couldnt get on to jpcustoms.com it wasnt working for me.
also do you guys think this could be done on a 10g budget? I will need cluster, dash, seats, door panels, probably put and indash in and a type of woodgrain for dash trim pieces. AC dials, the whole shabang! So where can i find the prices for the pieces i need?
thanks for the help. Here are some pictures of the truck before it was stolen.

I would go to a local salvage yard. They could search and find where all the stuff is at. Everything accept the cluster will work from a 1/2 ton so there is actually a ton of parts out there. IMO it be cheaper if you went to cloth interior. Id try that first and possibly ebay?

Insurance Auciton.... Find a local insurance auction and find a dealer that bids at that auction (as many are dealer only bidding). There is a nationwide company called IAA (Insurance Auto Auction) that has multiple yards in many states. Find a local dealer that will bid on one for you and buy a whole wrecked truck. Remember you can buy one that is totaled, all you need is the interior. You may be able to buy the whole truck for 2,000 to 3,000. May cost you a couple hundred bucks for the guy bidding for you, but it would be worth it.. Plus you may be able to just scap the rest when you got what you need and get some of your money back in scrap metal.. Good Luck.
