| "recall" notice for electrical issues i got a letter from GM awhile back saying if i smelled smoke or stuff quit working under the dash to let them know..but short of the truck burning to the ground,they said they wernt going to fix it. im on my 2nd resistor for the blower motor, the plug from the chassis to the resistor is burnt,,,,,ANYWAY i cant find that letter, anyone got one that they can post?? im 200 miles away from the nearest dealer...

| d-max is the plug going INTO the resistor burnt on two of the terminals? my local chevy dealer is now a honda/toyota dealer but they do work on GM stuff, but i may have to travel out of town to get this looked at..if im lucky Michelle will find me something i can take to the out of town dealer. im freezing with no blower motor..

| Michelle, well it appears im 40k over the mileage limit........how can i find out what the "fix" is so i can do it on my dime??

| Ok whats happening is GM is saying "oop's sorry", cause i drove my truck too much when it was new...what i need to know is what was the "fix" ? im going to have to pay to fix their problem and i dont mind cause my truck is close to being worn out..with 190k on it............. anyway this is a fairly common problem..one of you guys have had to of run into this....did they put on a more heavy duty plug or what?
