Interior Color

I have been thinking about getting rid of the tan interior i have and getting black interior. What do yall think i should do about the dash and center console? Should i just spend the extra money and buy a new dash and console, or has anyone ever tried or seen someone paint the plastic? any information is appreciated, thanks!

I love the black interior vs other colors, the darker the better! I bet it would be cheaper just to paint the plastics.

Definitly get the black. I could not stand tan interior I would have it filthy in 3 days. Like LawnPro said im sure painting everything would work as long as it wouldnt peel off later.

Have fun taking the dash apart.

That's what I was thinking as well, what would be a good way to paint it and the paint actually hold and look good......I don't want my truck to look like shit when I'm done.

Id try VERY hard to find a salvage yard that might let you swap it out. If honestly never paint that much of the interior. To buy everything peace by peace would cost a fortune.

What if you did a 2 tone? Like some tasteful tan and charcoal?

How bout the paint that's sold for painting pillars to match interior color? Wouldn't that hold up well and give you whatever factory color you wanted?

unless you find a black one for cheap at the junk yard then i would say do it. but if you do back seat, black carpet, tan dash with stock headliner and the tan plastic pieces behind the seats and a few other trim pieces to match. i think that will look really good and different.

. not only that i had that done on my 08 and i loved it.. the price of a new dash is ridiculous

and I've seen a lot of painted dashboards and they always chip. not only that your truck will smell like a rattle can for awhile

my buddy painted his 95 Cummins interior black and it looked great, just pull the dash and clean it good and spray her up, only thing is be prepared to get high on paint fumes for a few weeks

^^^^^^^^What do you mean im confused as to what you think i should and should not paint?

As far as using the black interior pillar paint the thought crossed my mind, but i want looking to buy a bunch of little bottles if i didnt have to. Thats why i was wondering if i took it out and prepped the absolute hell out of it, primed it and lay some good even paint down i wonder how that would look? Or there is always the plasti-dip method to see how it would look i guess? what do yall think i should do?
