Power seat stuck full forward

Is there anyway to move the power seat back manually?

Mine is stuck full forward and I don't hear anything from the motor when I hit the switch (forward or backward). All of the other functions work on the seat; recline, lumbar, up-down and heat.

I tried putting in another motor, but it doesn't seem to get any power either. I also tried moving the switch from the passenger side over and still nothing.

Any help is appreciated, I'm tired of eating my knees.

Welcome to the forum!

I had mine out of my last truck and IIRC there is a place to put a socket on the end of the bar that adjusts the seats. Hmm I wonder if you "jumped" the motor with a battery to get it to work?

I ended up jumping it with one of my cordless tool batteries.

I had the extra motor laying around and figured out how to get it to move. Then I did the same on the one in there and now I'm not eating my knees with the added benefit of no one else can drive the truck since the seat is set for me.

is it possible a fuse could cause it? seems like a plausible idea to check

Does anyone have a solution for this problem? I just purchased my 2006 Duramax used and I immediately had this problem.

I read above where you can put a socket on the end of the bar? Are you talking about the bar on the seat track?

Any and all help is appreciated.
