Door panel clips

Hey I just received 4 new interior door panel clips from GM for my front 2 doors.
The clips on the front hold fine, but the rears don't want to clip to the metal behind the door panel.
Any ideas on how to fix this??

Front clip holding fine:

Rear clips not doing so well:

Thats strange. Maybe its the wrong clip? I thought the clip didnt attatch to the panel just the rear metal. Hmm do the new clips look different than the old ones?

I am unsure as the old ones were having the same problem. I wonder if these clips are just too short?

The clips towards the rear should actually be a special screw. It's a #25 torx head. After you screw it in there is a "vanity" cap that snaps on to make it look pretty.

Oh crap I wasnt even thinking about that! Ya there a special torx with a washer on them so the caps fit. Probably dealer only.

I gotta ask. Did your truck come in peaces or something

Haha no not in pieces, just a few small things missing here and there.
The previous owner purchased almost all of the new parts from GM for it so it has a lot of new stuff on it.
