For someone to say they won't wear a seatbelt because they are dangerous is borderline retarded. Period.

Ever since I was rear ended when I was 18, and not wearing my seatbelt, I have always buckled up. My back hurts everyday since that crash, and it's a good reminder about buckling up.

With your relationship to the deceased and they're friends, it didn't seem appropriate at the time to expand on the subject with videos and the like.

I have other videos to source, but the gore level is beyond an 'R' rating. Unfortunately, I've seen/witnessed much worse in all my miles and those images I live with, I can't delete. Like the little girl's mangled doll that she lost in a Suburban rollover up near Waco.... I went to retrieve it, but it wasn't a doll, it was her little sister.

I wear mine, with the exception being when I"m using my truck as a transport for my grass clippings, and I'm moving up from one side of the lawn to the other, or around the corner to get to the back. I do this for two reasons:

1. In July of 1994, three of us were on the way back from a landfill. We were helping a buddy's family move, and needed to get rid of alot of garbage from their house. We were three abreast in the front seat of a 1987 C10. I was riding shotgun. Back then, I wasn't a huge belt wearer, but the driver of the truck insisted on it. Lucky us. On the way home, driver wasn't paying attention to the road, and I was just staring out into the fields. I glanced back forward, and there was a lady in a Riviera waiting to make a left turn into a driveway. I hollered about the impending accident, and the driver locked up the brakes... we slid into oncoming traffic, hit a Mazda pickup headon at highway speeds. We wound up pirouetting over the top of the Mazda on our front right wheel, landing facing the opposite direction and sliding back off the road. The driver's shoulder harness didn't lock, and the one riding bitch didn't have one, just a lap belt. They took out the windshield with their foreheads. The passenger of the Mazda broke his leg in two places, the driver lost his arm (that's a grizzly sight). Me, I had a bruise from where my arm hit the dashboard... and that was it. My belt kept me firmly rooted in my seat.

Second reason is more legal. The cops in this small town are gung ho and pull people over for whatever reason they can. In fact, I had to fight a seatbelt ticket already... and won because the only time I had my belt off was when I was at a 4-way stop, I was stopped, had the truck in Park, and was moving a fat Black Lab back off my center console into the back seat so he wouldn't slide into me when I turned a corner. I put my belt back on, and kept going... was pulled over a block later and ticketed for not having my belt on at the intersection... but everything I did was well within the law

When I sit in my truck, does that make it MODded??
