I hardly ever wear mine. If someone is gonna T-bone me in the drivers side, I'm jumping outta the way.
I T-boned some dumb lady that ran a stop sign. I was doing 60, she was doing 0. I had no belt on, and didnt get a scratch on me. Messed my back up from bracing for the impact, but Oh well, who cares.
I know I'm retarded, so save your "stupid" comments.

I have no prob with wearing one. The prob that I have is I have No choice in the matter!! It should not be a Law that if you are an adult you have to wear one. It should be my choice not theirs.

X2!!! Here in Indiana you can ride a motorcycle without a helmet but cant drive a car without wearing a seatbelt... Makes a lot of sense

Okay, I'll bite.....WHERE are you jumping to in order to get "outta the way" and not be sucked back toward the impact point?? And you're sure you'll see it coming? I guess that's a case for not wearing, only side airbags would help there. But, you'd have to wear your belt for those to work.
Well, I did see one coming at me once. Waiting on a driveway apron for traffic to pass so I could pull out on the freeway access road, a soccer mom in a suburban was talkin' on the phone and eating when she dropped something and was trying to retrieve it. As the suburban drifted across lanes following the crown of the road, she had a straight shot for me and swerved at the last moment. That's the only time I've felt that vulnerable in a 1-ton, with nowhere to go to avoid a certain death as the driveway apron would've served as a ramp, placing her bumper chest high to me.
And she never took the phone from here ear. :cool

Ever play pool? You were lucky, you were the Cue ball. Most of the energy was transferred to the lady you hit. That's why so many drunks running red lights are able to stagger away from the fatalities they just caused.

I'm glad you bit, cuz I was going to, and you did a fine job of pointing out the obvious. Sadly some people will never change their mind on this subject (like any other), and won't have a chance until it's too late.

Its the same here. If they want to do something then they need to crack down on parents that dont have there children restrained properly, ie, car seat installed incorrectly or children not buckled. But I say once you become old enough to vote then it should be your choice.

Here in Michigan they do crack down on improperly installed car seats for children. It's all well and good that adults should have the choice on seat belts. However, I think it's VERY unfair that I have to pay the medical bills (through increased taxes) for those who choose not to be belted and then have to go on Medicaid because they end up vegetables. I guess there may be some middle ground, but I don't know where it is.

I agree 100%, if YOU want to be stupid, YOU pay for it, leave me out of it!!!!! Otherwise wear your seatbelt please.
