Pods and Gauges help pls!

Hiya! I'm lookn for some pics of gauges and pods from some of you guys and gals... or some good website that may have some pics of them installed etc... Any info would help ... what brands are good... what to stay away from ... does it take a pro to install, etc... Also is the triple worth it .. or should I just go with the Pyro and Boost? I have a stock set up on my lb7 cept for a 4" straight. I plan on doing the intake, chip, and tranny upgrade... but pocket book is gonna make me do it in stages ! Any help would be awesome... also anyone in the DFW area in TX .. What are some good shops in the area.. just moved. Thanks a ton!

E

PS. I think I'm going with the A post mount instead of the over heads, etc. Feel free to give me your opinions!

I installed a Auto meter pillar with Auto Meter Ultralite II in my truck and there awesome! My gauges change from silver in the day and with the headlights on they turn black with a glowing needle. Definatly better then haveing a bright blue-green light glowing in your eyes.

Id have to say stick with a pyro and boost. I wanted to get a triple pod because they look awesome! But, there really isnt a third gauge that you need.

With installation. The gauges arent to bad to install. The trickiest part is not getting any shavings in the motor from drilling and tapping. There are several different ways to do this. The most 100% way to keep debris out of your motor is to remove the peaces your using. Drill, tap, clean, install. Its more time consuming then anything. So pretty mutch if you have ever tapped metal before you should be able to do it.

I know alot of people use the Isspro gauges. There a little simpilar than autometer and work great as well. Im sure a site sponsor/vendor could hook you up with a price.

I just ordered a triple A pillar mount and fuel pressure for the third gauge. The only problem is I have no idea where to connect into the fuel line. I got them from diesel manor so I hope their tech support is as good as they say. They should be here in a day or two so I will post some pics when I put them in. BTW I bought isspro gauges nothing special just your regular gauges.

Fortunately, never had to use the tech line. call David on the sales line, if you can't get an answer on the tech line, I've found that David is always willing to help, when he's not packing up stuff for shipping

I may be wrong but i think if you haven't put a lift pump on your truck you wont' be showing any fuel pressure because the only pump you have is drawing fuel instead of pushing it.

Scan Gauges

These things monitor everything, including OBD codes. Plug and Play, into the obd port, and you get 45 paramaters, and some performance features like 0-60, alarms, etc.
