Mine (ICOM IC-2200H) is mounted under the steering wheel. Couldn't find any other place to mount something so big. Doesn't get in the way too much and sticks w/ my "redneck" heritage

Any chance we could see a picture? Im not given any one hell for mounting the CB under the wheel, when I had my 93 k5 blazer I had it right under the cup holders, usless when I had a drink. In my 71 c10 I have one mounted right to the dash, under the heater controlls, it's a nifty place to store stuff like my cell phone.

Me3, would love to see some lower center dash mounts. This is def on my Radar and wanting to do it the near future. I am a CB newb and trying to learn as much from you guys as I can before I take the leap. My dad had one when I was a kid and I used to love listening to him as we headed down the road. My handle was 2 beers (one for him and one for his buddy hehe).

I have a Uniden that I've been holding off from getting installed, for the same reasons being discussed. Curious to also see some pics. If none look like what I want, I'll buy a Cobra.

Mine is right above my right knee, under the steering wheel also. It is just the cheaper Uniden that we have in all of our tractors. I like the stock look but it really doesnt look to bad. Easy to hide the wires. Ran the antenna wire right around the front of the center consule (under the dash) down under the carpet in the passenger side out throught the hole there, down along the frame and it came up and mounted it right infront of my toolbox.

haha. you guys all have it easy. i have the 60/40/60 bench up front, so short of mounting it to the glove box hatch, i actually grabbed some scrap sheet metal and fabbed up a little arm that i bolted the armrest mounts in the back. basically it sits vertical behind the armrest. yes there is enough clearance for full motion of the arm rest, however, i really didnt want to drill the steel mounts so it is strictly anchored to the plastic outside crap pieces. ill grab a pic tonight if anyone is interested.

Hey folks
I have a GMT 900 truck with the upscale interior.
I too want to install a CB in my truck but have had trouble locating a suitable spot to mount my cb that would have power and easily feed all the needed cables associated with the cb.
So please throw out your ideas and pics to help me and the others out.
Thanks
