Removing the dash on a 2007 CC

Hi all, I was looking for some suggestions and help. I just purchased a 2007 CC Dually and want to put an aftermarket amp in and some subwoofers. I have ordered a box from "Car Audio Factory". I have the factory BOSE system with the 6-Disc changer in the dash. I have ordered an amp install kit from crutchfield along with a line-level converter. I was wondering where would anyone suggest tapping into the factory speaker wire and how to remove the factory radio on my truck. Any suggestions, feedback and pictures would be greatly appreciated.

If you ordered from crutchfield all your questions will be answered. Their instructions are vehicle specific that they send out and include pictures where necessary. They are included as long as when you ordered you specified year make model stuff, they also through in the all the adapters you need. If they dont include them, there customer service is very good, just give them a call and they can walk you through the install or I'm sure they can provide you with the necessary documents. I told Crutchfield my Year/Make/Model, and I have ordered from them in the past and there customer service kicks a**. I was really wondering where any other D-Max owners have tapped into the factory wiring to add a line level converter and how to remove the dash. Again any help or pictures would be greatly appreciated.

sorry I cant be of any help, I have not made that plunge into the stereo yet, but its on the list. But im sure some one else can help

As stated, Crutchfield 's service is top notch. You will have to pull your gear shift all way down in order to pull dash face off first. And when that is off, there will be 3 screws that hold the factory stereo in place. Remove those and gently pull stereo out, disconnecting the harness on the back. Wha la...its out. Crutchfields instructions will take over from there. Where in SC are you?

the big dash bezel is all one piece on teh 99-07 classics, it just snaps in to place.

grab hold of the top and pull it out some, gradually easing it off all around the edges.

it really is that easy.

X-2 He's right, just kinda work it out the same all around. all that holds it in is plastic peg looking things. One thing i had to deal with is my antenna wire was way short or hung up somewhere it was kinda a pain to get hooked back up.

Well guys thanks for the advice, added the line level converter, two alpine type r subs, alpine 1500x1 amp, and a box from suppercrew sound. My truck rocks.
