Can this be done?

I am curious if this can be done the first picture if of the type of interior i have now and i am wondering if it can all be replaced with the set up in the 2nd picture let me know what you guys think or if anyone has done this?

yes id have to say it will cost a pretty penny but im sure it can be done

Yeah im sure i could find the interior at a salvage yard some where but my concern is if everything will bolt up right and go in place the correct way..

Absolutely will. The center seat, (jumpseat/ consone on your case) gets removed, as well as the flat plastic panel under your cig- lighter and ash tray. the center console goes into that area of the dash. I had mine all apart today b.c I repainted in with Duplicolor vinyl and Fabric paint. Looks great, its only about $7 a can. I did my doors, all trim, dash, and 4wd shifter trim. I did everything but the largest part of the dash. Let me know how to get it out; I will post pics up here of my painted interior (it will save you alot of cash compared to replacing all the panels!)

I would like to see some pictures of that thats a good idea i never though of doing that. So basically all i have to do is find the other interior and i will be good to go it all matches as far as where it bolts in place and stuff?

i looked into a center console for my truck, but I have a 4wd shifter and I dont think itl fit. As far as I know, the consoles, factory or aftermarket, bolt into the same spots as the center jumpseat. Im currently looking to do a console to replace my center seat but something that doesnt go forward enough to touch the dash. I'l get you pictures tomorrow when its light out- Overall Im very impressed with the way it turned out.

If you were closer (A lot) you could park your truck next to mine and do the swap. I have the center console setup and would go for a middle seat.

I have done this conversion on a buddy's Tahoe!
This might save you some money, but keep in mind that ALL the interiors for the Yukon,Tahoe, Suburban, and the Trucks are the same so you can look on Ebay or the local junk yard for more than just duramax/truck pieces. You can do this swap for about $200-$300

The console on Ebay $300-$400
Sell the jump seat after installed $100-$200
End cost= $200-$300

Everything bolts right in, but you will end up puting some holes in your carpet to find the mounting locations for hte console! Good Luck!
