6 Stacker CD Player to 06+ Tahoe/etc. CD Player

Recently bought an 06 3500 and it came with a 6 Stacker and XM ready,problem is when we bought it one of the CD's is jammed or something so a CD can't be inserted or ejected.

My question is could I buy say a newer style GM CD player like this,



off Ebay or somewhere else, and have it fit into an 06 without changing harnesses etc.? It also has radio controls on the steering wheel. I've searched but I can't find much info.

If I could somehow fix the CD player I have now I probably wouldn't switch, but even then it doesn't have an Aux port for Ipod etc.

I dont know if the plugs are the same in the back or not. I would think you would have to modify the dash trim too. Personally if your cd player is messed up, go aftermarket. There are adapters that will allow your steering wheel controls to still work.

If you want to stay OEM, you can buy one off ebay, but you will need a dealer to unlock it since the BCM will cause it to lock after you start the truck.

Thanks, I am thinking about going aftermarket but with OEM I like the fact that people aren't interested in breaking in and stealing it AND it came with a rear DVD player (factory) would installing an aftermarket CD player effect that?
