Sound proofing?

Has anyone sound proofed their truck? I know there is dynomat but are there any cheaper solutions or methods? I was thinking about doing everything (pulling the interior and making it as quiet as possible.. headliner, carpets, seats, door panels everything). I've heard people doing it any they say it so nice to drive with no road noise an the stereo sound/quality is alot better too. Thanks for the help!

I want to do that when I have my seats out for reupholstery (is that a word??) . I already know how to get every panel out of my truck b.c I painted the interior over the past few weeks. Is dynamat the best soundproofing you can get?

You can always use FOAM Pading to absorb the road noise. Get 1/4" to 1/2" FOAM that should work pretty good. It's cheap tooo

You can also look into Cascade Audio products or Second Skin audio...they make sound proofing material also.

I work with Second Skin Audio, and there products are top notch, Ant is a great guy to deal with!!

Cheaper than Dynamat Xtreme and better. They have a new sludge coming out that is supposed to be pretty good!!!

If its any help. I gained .8 dbs on the decible meter with the Second Skin over the Dynamat

But I guess get what you want, but keep in my mind why everyone in the car audio circuit is switching from Dynamat to Second Skin
