intermitten fan control issue

my truck has been having an issue w/ the fan control for heat/ac lately. the other morning it was cold and frosty i turned on the fan for some heat and nothing no fan on any setting 1-5. pushed the temp control all the way up after the truck was up to temp heat was coming out of the vents just no fan to push it out. later on it started working when i tried it fan worked all settings 1-5. could it be the control switch or the resistor if it has 1 or something else? thanks for any help.

It is usually the little resistor on the blower motor harness. They are not too bad to get to but still a bit of a pain. It could also be your controls. I had a tahoe that the controls went psycho on.

the price on those little buggers went up $57 bucks for it just had to replace one in my 01 dump truck
