Headliner Removal

How hard is it? I absolutely hate messing with them because they never go back in the same. I put my subs back in and the roof vibrates and resonates sound real bad. I need to Dynamat the roof and I'll probably just do the whole truck while I'm at it.

Anyone with headliner removal experience? I dont want to tear stuff up if theres any tricks to it. I have a Snap-on panel clip puller thingy so I'm good there. Any help is appreciated.

actually they're shit simple. Go slow and pull all the clips with even pressure so they don't break.

Thanks.
My question was already answered over on another forum.
I was hoping there were no surprises. I hate the old stuff with the cardboard crap. Bend it the wrong way and it'll never fit right again. Maybe I'll take a few pics and do a little write up for over here.

Yes. I dropped it, without removing it. My interior was out though, fwiw. Straight forward clips IIRC.

Dynamat, then raise it back up.

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a paint or fabric spray for the headliner...while putting in a dropdown screen, a buddy of mine let his wire torch get a little too close to the headliner and it discolored a couple of small spots....its killing me to look at.

Mine did the same thing sounded like i was smashing a couple steel garbage cans togather. As far as the dynamat it didnt fix mine what i did was i got some 1/8 inch Lauan Plywood and cut it down and shoved it between the roof and the brace with some liquid nails.you'll be surprised what a difference it makes even just closing your doors and it will save you alot of $

I would like to see a write up, but I want to know how to get it out of the truck and a new one back in without tearing it up.
