Improving '11 LTZ Interior...

Well, I got my '11 2500HD LTZ (after debating a lot on LT vs. LTZ) and am starting to think about improvements. Here's how the interior looks now:

I'm thinking about getting the center console lid and the cup holder/storage bin from a Denali, they look like this:

Maybe the steering wheel too... but I feel like that's going to be expensive and a pain in the ass.

Then I was thinking the gauge surround and the door handle surrounds would have looked nice in a matching finish to the air-vent surrounds. I'm sure this could be duplicated pretty easily... but I'd feel like such a ricer if I started painting my interior trim. Haha.

i wish they would've used that aluminum everything instead of the fake wood. would look much better in my opinion

I also opted for the LTZ just because I hated the other interiors so much, but to be honest the Ford has us dead in the water interior wise.... the on board computer, leather seats and even materials are nicer... Wish GM had put a few more $$ into the interior on a $60K+ truck... If you find any good after market interior upgrades, please share..

use the dash pieces from a Z71 suburban. They delete the fake wood and make it all brushed aluminum.

I hated the cupholder area when I had my 08 Denali. It felt really cheap, and the fake wood got scratched up really fast. Also, the storage pocket is pretty small.

they are not hard to prep and paint. Mine are gloss black w/ clear on my LMM. F&^K woodgrain. This isn't a 92 Wagoneer.

2009 Chevy Silverado Wood Grain Dash Kits | Carbon Fiber

They have a bunch of different materials/finishes available but it isn't cheap. I was looking at the B&I kits for 2007.5-present LTZs, btw.

I also have the stupid looking fake wood in my '11 LTZ. I have never done any interior work. How hard would it be to install the brushed aluminum pieces from a suburban and where would I get them??
