Steering wheel lights

My light went out on my volume thumb control on my steering wheel. Is there a simple way to change it? Or should I just leave it alone?

It's a dealer piece, it comes as new button, so you can't just get replacement bulbs. There are two holes on either side of the column right behind the airbag, use a small allen wrench etc. to depress the springs inside and release the airbag from the column. This will allow you access to the wires that run to the buttons so you can free them up when you remove the buttons. Then get a small flathead screw driver and gently pry the buttons free and disconnect the plug from the back and replace them with the new piece.
