| Thinking of buying... a 2005 GMC DRW CC D/A with 88k mi.....fully loaded in pristine condition, all stock... just needs tires...any advise on what to look for? I currently have a '10 Silverado 2500HD EC gasser w/22k on it, owe $6500. We tow a 7500lb rv and does great. Our kids are getting bigger and running out of room in the back thus the desire to move to a CC. We also are looking at trading up to a 5th wheel probably around 10k lbs. I'm trying to work a deal with the dlr to where I can lower my pmnt and own this dually. Any thoughts on this? These Duramax/Allisons seem to go forever, I've never owned a diesel....just wondering if this is a bad move...thx, Eric Last edited by EXGMTech; 11-14-2012 at 05:05 AM. |

| Not a bad move at all IMO. Are you going to daily drive it or just use it for towing? Edited sorry thought it was an 04

| Do it, you will never look back, the comfort while towing with that set up will be well worth it.

| Ok here's another question....if I do go with this truck, what mods should I be looking at? My main goal is fuel mileage, longevity/reliability, towing. I'm not looking to be a speed freak...just don't want breakdowns while towing our rv. |
