 | A hand shake away..... Im a new used from new york. Not new to forums or automotive at all, but I'm new to duramax's. Im a hand shake away from purchasing a truck, but I wanted to see if you guys think I'm getting a good deal or not. I don't have any pictures, went to see the truck at night, just to get my foot in the door. 2002 2500hd lb7 91k miles, extended cab, short bed. 4x4, Power everything, tan leather. rhino lined. flip out head unit, amp, speakers. Truck is leveled with torsion bars and brand new wheels and tires. Brand new 3'' exhaust, brand new stainless brake lines. 4x4 works and quiet. Truck runs awesome, needs a glove box, and has a belt squeak, and needs alignment or a tie rod. $13,500 a good deal? |

| Well considering that 14.5 is a good deal for a half ton that has that many miles on it a only 3 years newer then that, i would say its prolly a good deal as long as there isn't some underlying problem that is major that you haven't found yet. I would def drive it before you purchase though. But thats a low amount of miles for that year. i have 96 on my 07.5 already and the diesel motor is gonna last forever so with some serious thinking i would say your prolly gonna do alright with that purchase. you could always walk in and offer 13k cash and see if they take it. or loan check which ever. Tbh it would be hard for someone to see that kinda money and walk away for a lowsy 500 dollars less. Just some thoughts. Best of luck to you on your purchase, hope all goes well.

| ok, thanks for the replies. The owner died tragically and he had this truck plus a bunch of toys. Its one of those power of attorney deals to pay for funeral costs and stuff. The injectors haven't been replaced yet, I do know that the LB7's are prone to injector problems. |

| Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Like everyone else said only major thing is injectors at some point.
