Cummins transplant/how many miles?

Hey guys, just recently bought an 07 Duramax to replace my falling apart 01 Cummins. I love it so far , but also loved the Cummins, just couldn't keep up with the cost of everything that was falling apart on it. Anyway, just wondering what kind of mileages we've got out there on the odometers. I'm kinda wondering what I can expect from this thing. I'd wanted to run my Cummins into the ground and try for the Million mile mark on it, but realized the engine was gonna far outlive the truck by a long shot, so I upgraded to something newer here and am wondering if I can expect the same engine life outta the Izuzu motors. Thanks everyone

Really? Where did ya get the info? Cummins bottom ends are damn near bullet proof they will last forever. I have seen close to 400,000 put on a couple. IIRC the Dmax are built for 200,000 or more.
To be honest I think a Cummins will outlast a Dmax but like the TS said everything will fall apart around it and the cummins will keep on ticking.

Welcome to the DF, enjoy the ride.

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship." - Alexander Tyler 1787

i think we're going to see diesels taking sh*ts a lot sooner with the super refined fuel we're running. without lubrication in the fuel, i think we're going to be similar to gassers lasting 100,000. especially with all the emmissions BS
