Smile New Maryland Desiel member

Hello all, just introducing my self...
Had my duramax for about a year now and put 50,000 miles on er' already with the banks upgrades and she runs like a top ...got a corvette recently for a bit more excitment in the turns...but some how keep dumping all my money into the desiel...got to love running down a mustang in a pickup...and letting every intersection know you like power with a cloud of soot.

From Cicel County, MD ... ya my desiel is pritty nice but i dont really think i can do much more with out upgrading the transmission so i'm at a stand still ... some stuff thats done to the truck thats not performance related is a full kenwood excelon sound system with a kenwood 1k amp and a kicker 12 sub .. painted front and rear bumpers painted stock wheels and window tint... also the handy dandy radiar detector. I go to cicel county dragway sometimes in northeast...but this coming Firday is going to be the last race day for the winter
The truck has got 4.10 gears with the 5 speed trany so i top out at 98 mph, but the way the truck is right now i'm going to the time gates perfect 14.1 @ 96 mph

A predator should work nice but its hard to say, it sems every truck likes different stacks at different levels, you kinda just gotta play around with tuners and levels to see what works best. A predator would probally work nice based on how conservative the banks tuners are. be careful though a predator alone on 120hp will limp the trans1

Also i would bet your truck has 3.73 gears, they were the only gear offered by gm with the dmax!

When u buy a truck, the base truck on the build sheet comes with a 6.0 gasser with 4.10's, when u upgrade to the diesel, the package upgrades to 3.73's the duramax has only ever been od=ffered with 3.73's, u can now buy aftermarket 4.42's 4.10, and 4.30's IIRC! SOme of the eariler truck would run to 100 and a bit over due to them not having a speed limiter just fuel shut off over the newer ones having a speed limiter set @98!

BTW if you stack your banks with a predator tuner you can remove the speed limiter!!!

thanks for the education......so the six gun chip didn't take the limiter out...if the limiter is out what is the safe rpm a desiel can run i'm shure it's there for a good reason
