Just found the truck I wanted in Florida. 2006 K2500HD Extended Cab in Silver Birch Metallic. Been looking for awhile. Flew down friday and bought it. Drove it back to Ohio and ended up getting around 21 mpg. Truck is awesome to drive and is loaded. I also have a 93 K2500HD, 7" lift, 35" Pro Comp Xtreme's, and alot of miles! Have several questions, mainly replacing stock tires with a little beefier looking, comparable tire...don't want to go up and meaty too quick.
welcome to the forum..the biggest with out doing any sort of lifting is a 285-75R16 and i would go with a nice A/T tire from either Toyo,Bridgestone,Firestone or Mastercraft..congrats on the new ride

Thanks...The truck has made my day! Never seen so many buttons to push in my life! What do you think about the Nitto Grapplers? I want a little more agressive tread. The Toyo's look decent...
the Terra Grapplers or the Mud Grapplers?
the Terra Grappler(the All Terrain one)has been a excellent tire for us not noisy and they do good in all conditions and they seem to be getting good mileage and i've only sold a few sets of the Mud Grapplers and right now i'm runnin a set on my GMC and i can tell you this they are the most impressive tire off road that i've ever run but are they loud going down the highway..

Thanks guys...Basically looking for a tire that has a somewhat agressive tread but not overdone. I am not new to tires believe me, I have had everything from Ground Hawgs to Swampers to Pro Comp XTerrains which I have now on my 1993 K2500HD. I like the Nitto Terra Grapplers, the Toyo Open Country A/T's, and even the Pro Comp Xtreme A/T's. I have the stock Bridgestones on it now but want something a little more agressive. 265's is the size I want....for now!
Copper has some really nice tires if you want something that captures the best of both worlds try the Copper Discover ST or the Mastercraft Courser CT..
