welcome to the forum!!! well first off T/B exhaust from like mbrp or silverline.. 4 inch will be fine.. a CAI or cold air intake from like snb or afe... then your looking at a tuner.. best is EFIlive but its time consuming and you have to like messing around on the computer.. but for best handheld PPE...then a set of guages boost and egt... there are so many route that you can take just make sure u research and know what your getting before you buy.. (these are just my personal opinions and im sure other people on here will have others.. so just take everything into consideration..) good luck and let us know which route u decide to go!

I have a 03 as well, here's what I suggest for your LB7.

First, save your $$ on a cia, mod the stocker, as it will filter as good or better, and flow just as well too. Kennedy Diesel has the instructions on the mod.

Next do get a 4" catback or turbo back exhaust.

As for a tuner, you need to know that anything more than about 65-90 hp will hurt your tranny, if you get on it alot, the TC and c3 clutches will break. If you can keep a light right foot you can run as much as 225 w/o limping the tranny, so if you want a good amount of power, a tranny upgrade is a Must do. As for hand held tuners, PPE is hard to beat, good shifting, good power, and Great customer service.

Add a boost valve from PPE, cost 30.00 and 5 mins to install.

If want better maint. items, a bypass oil, and fuel filter are good items to get. regular maint. is key, the more often you change oil& filter, fuel filter ect, the better off you'll be. also note, that a clogged fuel filter can affect the tranny's performance, so change at 7k intervals, and always use Ac Delco filters, except for the tranny, which is a Allison filter.

There are other mods, but those are personal taste items, i.e lift's, leveling kits, shocks, hir, or hid lamps.

Welcome, and good luck on your mods.

That info is wrong, the alli can hold about 400 hp, and 700 ft lbs tq.

Not going back to stock, in fact going with HP tuners, sorta like EFI Live... It's not a hand held tuner, you have to write your tunes.

a stock Allison will hold 500HP/1000TQR but not for long at all but now a built Allison now thats a different story..
Programmer=Diablo,PPE or EFILive if you have the time to learn how to tune.
CAI=AFE,S&B or just mod the stock Air box
Gauges=Autometers or do the Quadzilla Commander digital gauges.
Exhaust=Silverline or MBRP,4" or 5" T/B Exhaust
like it was mentioned earlier you can run 400-430HP to the Allison but keep your WOT throttle in the higher gears to a mininum and you'll be fine.
CAI=Cold Air Intake
T/B=Turbo Back(cat and muffler delete exhaust)
WOT=Wide Open Throttle
