hi, im new to your forum and so far am very impressed. i recently found my 2002 max crew cab. low miles and feels awesome, even stock. i wanted stock so i could do all mods myself. i ve had my silverado about three months now and couldnt be happier. yesterday something happened with my trans and nearly didnt get home. the next day truck ran fine. i spent less than five minutes in your forum and found answers right away. very cool. im gonna check that sensor this weekend. anyway i got a 6" fabtech kit w/ dual shock hoops. also got the dirtlogic shocks w/ ressies for front and rear. next, a set of kmc diesel 18" rims. ive aquired 7 used toyo mt 35 inch tires. about 50% left. now i have the opportunity to trade for a set of 37 inch toyos with 80% on them. i figure my tires plus like 200 bucks is fair. so the question is how do i fit these correctly, without premature wear. a local shop said they would sell me an add a leaf kit, plus two 2 inch blocks, and new u bolts. for around $200. that would do the rear. later ill replace with deaver six inch leafs if neccessary. now the front, he says jack up the torsion keys just enough to clear them. im planning on installing both the cognito steering upgrades. do you think this is a bad way to do this?????? should i just stick with my 35"s??????
One of my buddies had the fabtech 6inch on his truck all he had to do was an add a leaf and crank the tortion bars to fit 37 toyo mts but they rub some when the wheels are cranked. If you really want to run 37s just get an 8inch fabtech with 37s thats what i had on my truck till this weekend when i took it back out

A friend of mine managed to squeeze 37's on a 6in. I rubbed all the time even with some trimming. Not really worth the hassel if you ask me. I looked good, but 35's are more functional.
It also has A LOT to do with your wheel back spacing. The toyo's only have one inch width on the BFG right? Don't get me wrong, I did some bumper trimming, but it can be done, and done right. Damn I need to get some pics up.

yea. i could do it. but..... i still think itll max out my shock setup. im think either now or later im gonna sell all my shocks and my front hoop setup. hell, maybe the whole kit can go, along with the toyo 35"s i have . anyone in washington or oregon interested??? shocks and hoops are brand new, still in boxes. lift was installed and removed by schwabs. on for only a week. anyway, if i replaced the front hoop setup and control arms with cognito. and bought the appropriate shocks. then i could crank the t bars a bit and have a dependable 6" with 37" tires. anyone selling any cognito or cst stuff.
