First Duramax

Hey guys! This is my first time using the forum and my first duramax also. I have an 2004 LB7 with auto trans. I was wondering what you all would suggest for safe performace upgardes. I have already strait piped the stock exhaust. Any suggestions would be awsome!

What are you looking to do with the truck. I would recomend a tuner if you would like to increase your mileage and performance.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Ok so what kind of tuner would be a safe upgrade for motor and trans? What about a cold air intake system?

Really depends on what you're lookin to get out of your truck. If you plan on moddin it out bigtime, EFI Live or PPE. If you're just lookin for a little xtra hp and better mileage, check out Edge or Bullydog.

AFE, S&B, Banks are all good cold air intakes.Stay away from K&N filters, they let too much by.

Thanks for all the help! i will def take it all into consideration. I think the next upgrade will be the intake. one more question for now ha ha. would a bigger down pipe and bigger exhaust help with performance and would it also make it louder.
