where to start which one is number one

1-2-7-8-4-5-6-3

Number 1 is on the passenger side, not the drivers like a SBC.

I think you are getting the firing order mixed up with the cylinder order!

no cylinders go 1-8 starting front left ending rear right...if you are looking towards the truck like if you had the hood up..

its like this on all motors....well ones that have pistons anyway

Odds are on the pass side "1,3,5,7" and evens are on the drivers side "2,4,6,8". They are also in that order from front to back.

i have an 03 chevy duramax that smokes a little check eng light on few trouble codes seems to run ok still burns 38 inch tires all stock performance dealer says number 7 inijector not firing need to replace injector at $2000.00. 73000 miles also says not under warrenty but they'll warrenty the glow plugs not understanding has 100000 mile warrenty on drivetrain dealer said warrenty only covers internal parts glow plugs you can get from outside right injectors are on the inside correct
