Well I finally came over to the dark side. I just purchased my first chevy and so far I love it! I picked it up friday morning and already have a little over 1500 miles on it after making a run to the ranch in west texas. I have owned two powerstrokes and one dodge and as far as comfort goes this thing takes it by a long shot! the dodge was a great truck but we have our first little on the way in acouple of weeks and the quad cab wasnt going to cut it anymore. I did about 99% of the work to my dodge myself and knew the truck inside and out and look forward to starting over again and doing the same with this one. Since this is my first duramax i know very little about the truck but look forward to learning it very quickly with the help of you guys........The first few things that will be done is an 8" fabtech lift with 37"s and black chrome 22's (if i can find some), the dinky mirrors are being traded for tow mirrors and bushwacker fenders flare.......As far as the inside the stereo will be upgrade with screens in the headrest for the little guy and Katskinz two tone leather. I promised the wife that I would leave the motor alone with this truck but in her heart she knows thats not going to happen LOL........

The dodge just wasnt cutting it anymore...after the fourth transmission in two years ( South Bend DD clutchs arent cheap by the way LOL) I was tired of driving the 6pd in houston and and the interior was not comfortable at all for long trips, so away she went! I have to say though I was a little upset to watch the guy drive away in and to top it off he was grinding gears leaving my house!!!
