New to forum

I have a 2006 6.6 LBZ Silverado pickup. I tow a 28 ft. 5th wheel and other various trailers. I would be interested to learn more about fuel related problems and resolutions. I'm on my 5th fuel filter with under 40k miles. Now I carry spares.....

Hi Rocky, how's the Dells treatin ya? Cold up der? 16 below this am when Zurbo and I went to work. 11 below now. What happened to dem der Packers? Anyway, I think my filter is gelled up right now, Got a new one in the garage, but I can't get the old one off! Tried 3 different filter wrenches, just can't get enough leverage to get it off. I just changed this one 2 mo. ~2000 miles ago. What kind of wrench do you use? Anybody else? I suppose it could be just from the cold, I don't know.
Take care and stay warm!

jab a screwdriver right through it then you'll have all the leverage you need to turn it. Have you tried using diesel 911?

Yeah, tried the 911, and a hair dryer on the filter for about 15 min. It came right off then. New one on and all is fine.
