Hey guy's, great place you have here. I just picked up a perfect 03 Chevy HD. Plans to date include an intake, exhaust and programer. Love my truck. I will be asking many questions. Hope you can deal with me.

First off, Welcome!!

Leave the intake be. You don't need more than the stock unit can provide for now.

Exhaust, we have had great luck with our Budget kits. 4" is all you will need.

For a chip, I recommend the Diablosport Predator to those frugal types, and the PPE for those who demand nothing but the best. Both are excellent tuners, but the PPE has more capability. Either will require gauges. Also, there is the Edge Juice with Attitude, chip and gauges all in one, with turbo cool down timer. Nice unit, good performance.

Your transmission will not like anything over 100hp, so keep that in mind. The short term fix is a Trans Go kit, long term is a Suncoast Stg IV kit.

The only other way I have found to learn stuff is to blow it up. As fun as that is, the questions are easier.
